Proper functioning of Dialysis Machines in the home environment are critical for patient health. If any of the components or accessories associated with the machine start to degrade it is important that Fresenius is able to track this in real time and deploy bio-meds as need to perform the require adjustments to the machine prior to the machine going out of specification. The solution to this problem is the Real Time Reliability System. The system will track all electro-mechanical components in Dialysis Machines and develop algorithms for determine electro-mechanical component “health” and proper function of the machine. The system will use also track aggregate patient information. |
By using the Real Time Reliability System to track the proper function of the fleet of Dialysis Machines in the field in Real Time we will be able to provide better outcomes to our patients by ensuring all machines are in proper working order at all times. |
| There will be the development of a circuit board that goes in the machine and monitors electro-mechanical component functionality of the machines. In addition, there will be system in place to uniquely ID all components used in the machine. There will be a system in place to transmit this data to a central database. Algorithms’ will be developed to determine the health of all electro-mechanical components in all dialysis machines. A website will be developed that displays metrics on the health fleet of machines. |
