With the rise of the baby boomer population, innovation of geriatric devices are becoming necessary. This project will develop innovative accessory solutions and a complete redesign of the walker and other mobility devices. Design considerations such as center of gravity, terrain, foldability, wheels, and ergonomics, as well as manufacturability and materials selection will be incorporated into the novel design. Students will get an opportunity to build the device for a particular end user who requires these novel solutions.
