F1tenth strives to research Machine Learning approaches for 1/10th scaled autonomous racing with the goal of making the vehicle run as fast as possible through different navigation controls and vehicle engineering. The team was started in summer of 2024 and had since taken our methods to the RoboRacer competitions.

Summary
Current Work / Recent Updates
In June of 2026, we placed 4th at the RoboRacer event held at IEEE in Detroit, MI. We are currently looking to upgrade our simulation environments, and refine the ML algorithms for even better performance at the competitions this upcoming year.
Team Structure
F1tenth currently includes subteams of software, electrical, and mechanical. The software team contributes to the navigation tech stack, the electrical team works directly on the components on the vehicle including sensors and controllers, and the mechanical team is assigned to the aerodynamics of the vehicle.
